Health Policy Advisor
Leah Rand, D.Phil., graduated from the University of Chicago and received an MA in philosophy from University College London, where she was a Marshall Scholar, and a doctorate in population health and bioethics from the University of Oxford. Currently, she is a Lecturer at Harvard Medical School in the Center for Bioethics, where she teaches early and mid-to-late career graduate students, and a Research Scientist at the Program on Regulation, Therapeutics, and Law (PORTAL) where she works on equitable access to prescription drugs and fair value assessment. Prior experiences include staffing a consensus study at the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine on public health emergency preparedness and response to make recommendations to a federal agency.
