Alosa Health partners with state governments, federal agencies, nonprofit organizations, health care systems, practices, and foundations to develop academic detailing programs, trainings, and materials.
Using our module on responsible opioid prescribing, Alosa Health developed a tailored educational program on this topic for the clinical pharmacists at the Atrius healthcare system in Massachusetts.
Alosa Health provided training on the concepts of academic detailing and consultative services to CEP to launch a new academic detailing program in the province of Ontario.
In partnership with HAHSTA, in Washington, DC, Alosa Health developed trainings related to Hepatitis C screening and Expedited Partner Therapy (EPT). Our collaboration with the Massachusetts Department of Public Health focuses on key programs to improve patient safety, such as reducing antipsychotic prescribing in nursing homes and the responsible prescribing of opioids. Alosa Health provides a complete program, developing the clinical content for the programs as well as training and managing the clinical educators.
Our longest-running program, Alosa Health trains and manages a team of clinical educators that are on the ground across the state of Pennsylvania. Alosa Health collaborates with PACE to annually develop modules on three clinical topics relating to care of the elderly and provides content training and academic detailing skill-building for the clinical educators.
To reduce the spread of HIV in Shelby County, Tennessee, Alosa Health will develop education on Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) as well as training and managing a clinical educator to visit with primary care practices to expand knowledge of and access to PrEP services.
